Towns & Villages

Most of the villages around the Loch are very small, some no more than a handful of spread-out farms and dwellings.  If the link to the area/village does not work then there is nothing of note to report there. 

The nearest towns that contain major facilities are Oban and Lochgilphead.

Oban, Lochgilphead, Ardrishaig, Bridge of Awe and Dalmally have petrol stations

To drive the road around Loch Awe takes approximately 2.5 hours at normal road speeds and without

the many stops you will want to take to enjoy the views!

Roads are mostly single track, narrow and occasionally in poor repair.

Please observe the country driving code and allow cars to overtake by using the many laybys.
